GoFlight-Lua Scripter (GFLS) - Frequently Asked Questions 1. What is this research phase you're in? I'd rather not... pour the cement to lay a foundation, put up the framework, lay out the pipe, run the wiring, put in insulation, hang the dry wall... just to find out I can't paint. So I'm tinkering with the things I don't know how to do. Once I get past those obstacles, I'm free and clear!
2. Are we going to be able to program joysticks? Buttons, yes! Axis... not at this time. I think that's best left to FSUIPC, BUT... I do have an idea to let you program the assignments in GFLS and then write those into the FSUIPC ini file. That's going to be a complicated process and may be even further down the road. If at all. I haven't investigated that, yet!
3. Where do these files it creates get saved? Will we have to then import them into FS? I figured I'd leave that up to the user. I'm creating an area in the preferences which will allow the user to specify where the scripts get saved and if the user wants them automatically copied into the FS Modules folder.
4. Will this work on WIN-XP? What about 64bit systems? I sure hope so since I'm designing it to. I'm hoping to get a Win7-65bit system soon for testing. |
