PURPOSE: Calculates the maximum speed around a curve of track in accordance with Title 49, Part 213.9 of the Electronic Code of Federal Regulations. Designed for use with Auran's series of Trainz simulators.
USE: After a curved section of track has been laid, use the Curve Radius tool to obtain the radius. Note the lowest numbers closest to both of the spline points or "outer radius". Also note the highest number in the middle of the curve or "inner radius".
Enter the numbers for the two outer radius and the inner. Click the Calculate button and the maximum speed will be calculated. or Enter a single radius. NOTE: When you type in a number in the radius boxes, pressing ENTER will either advance the cursor to the next box or will click the calculate button. This makes it easy to enter numbers and get results. Also, if you're only entering a single radius... pressing enter will calculate the speed and clear the text box so you're ready to enter a new number. Additionally, You'll notice it opens in the same place on your desktop as when you closed it. INSTALLATION: There is no installation. Just unzip the file and go.
